The Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD) has been founded in 1877.
Its focus on technology - from the perspective of engineering, the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences - ranges from basic research questions to applications for daily life.
Role: Development of new calibration techniques for tile stereoscopic large screen displays.
TUD developed new methods for calibrating a TDS: an automatic geometric calibration that virtually aligns the projectors, and a semi-automatic color calibration that makes the colors of the final display spatially uniform.

We are the architectural scenario users. Our first roll within the consortium was to set up a basic brief by analysing the architectural process and identifying gaps in the existing software and hardware markets that could be filled with Improve.
Our second mission has been to test the prototypes at their different stages and comment on them in order to help the development of the product.

The Lighthouse, Scotland's first, dedicated, national centre for architecture and design, was opened by HM Queen Elizabeth in July 1999. The Lighthouse is the renamed £13 million conversion of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's 1895 Glasgow Herald newspaper office. The Lighthouse’s vision is to develop the links between art, design and architecture, seeing these as interconnected social, educational, economic and cultural issues of concern to everyone. Its mission is to educate, to engage, to research and to innovate.
Role: Working closely with both end user groups on requirements analysis and leading assessment and evaluation of the integrated IMPROVE system.
