IMPROVE Home

IMPROVE is a European FP6 research project which aims to improve the design review process within the architecture and automotive industries through the application of augmented and virtual visualisation technologies.

Designers in both fields can collaborate within a virtual scene and work on the same visualised building or vehicles. A number of technologies are combined and extended to allow users, through innovative interaction techniques, to annotate objects, create or modify geometry or change lighting conditions.

The consortium, assembled from five countries and led by the Fraunhofer Institute, brings together expertise in key areas including tracking, video streaming and HMD development.
